Trailing Gazania

Trailing Gazania is an unstoppable, fast-spreading groundcover that creates a dense carpet of silvery foliage topped with brilliant daisy-like flowers. It thrives in harsh coastal conditions, including salt spray, high winds, and sandy soils. The flowers open in direct sunlight and close tightly at night or on cloudy days. It requires very little water and practically zero fertilizer. To prevent the center of the patch from becoming woody and bare over time, divide the clumps every 3-4 years in early spring.
