Sedum 'Black Pearl'

Sedum 'Black Pearl' provides dramatic dark foliage contrast for rock gardens and container borders. To achieve the darkest purple/black coloration, it must be planted in full sun-shade will cause the leaves to revert to a dull green. It requires very little water and prefers poor, gritty soil. Over-fertilizing or overwatering will cause weak, floppy growth and root rot. It dies back to a basal rosette in the winter. Prune old flower stalks in late fall to keep the clump neat.
